Welcome to an Angeleno’s guide to Vancouver, BC.

You may have heard that this city is boring and lacks artistic depth.

I’m here to prove you wrong.

I originally founded Fairfax is Dead in Los Angeles as a nostalgia project, investigating the declining state of my hometown and the once-iconic Fairfax District.

What began as a personal blog quickly evolved into a local art show featuring 20 LA-based artists at a long-standing gallery on Fairfax Ave in December 2024.

Now based 100% in Vancouver, I’ve reimagined Fairfax is Dead as a design-forward publication dedicated completely to this city. I want to challenge the notion that there’s no fashion or art scene here, by focusing on the local, edgy underground.
