THE VANCOUVER PROJECT
After 4 months of vigorously research and planning, over 120 fashion enthusiasts showed up to witness the city’s first grassroots fashion design competition and runway showcase.
The primary intention behind this project was to inspire a generation of young creatives and fashion designers to grow & sustain their careers here, instead of flocking to other major cities.
Three designers competed for a grand prize package, with the winner decided by an esteemed panel of local judges.

Over the years, the creative energy and community spirit of Fairfax Ave have faded. LA has become a shell of what it used to be—a blend of oversaturated, uninspired and disconnected.
This event was about reigniting that energy, bringing life back to the city, and doing it all with a 100% local focus.
20 LA-based artists were featured, with mediums ranging from oil painting and photography, to sculpture, mixed media and bespoke garments.
