DESIGNER FEATURE - THANK EUPHORIA
SF: What’s your name, and where are you from?
TE: We’re Jackson Frazer and Diego Mazzarella, our brand is Thank Euphoria and we’re from East Vancouver.
SF: Can you tell us a bit about your journey into fashion?
TE: We both got into fashion during covid, probably mid 2021 by thrifting and buying way too many clothes. Jackson started sewing shortly after that, mostly to fix those clothes that didn’t fit, and Diego had been doing graphic design and photography.. Eventually our style outgrew what the thrift stores were offering, and with too much time on our hands we thought we’d just make the stuff we couldn’t thrift ourselves.
SF: How would you describe your design aesthetic?
TE: Streetwear inspired with a focus on functionality.
SF: Where do you find inspiration?
TE: We take most of our inspiration from contemporary and brutalist architecture, interior design and the nature surrounding us here in the pacific northwest.
SF: What do you hope people take away after seeing your collection?
TE: Your creative ambitions aren’t as far out of reach as you might think they are. We started this brand with basically no prior knowledge and just learned through experience, and you can do the same :)
SF: What do you think Vancouver’s fashion community needs most to continue growing?
TE: More events like this one! Sid, Juliana and everyone involved is showing exactly how we can create a community around fashion here in Vancouver.
SF: Why should people be paying attention to Vancouver fashion right now?
TE: Vancouver has a young scene. There are so many up and coming designers shaping the space and so much opportunity to develop it even more.
